No two smiles are the same, so no two treatment plans should be the same either! With Dr. Mason, your treatment will be completely personalized to your dental needs and smile goals. And, of course, we offer a wide range of treatments to help you get the functional and flawless smile you deserve. If you want to learn more about the different types of teeth-straightening solutions available, we encourage you to schedule a personal consultation. Plus, you can learn more in the meantime by clicking on the pictures below!

Traditional Braces

A tried-and-true orthodontic treatment, traditional braces near Lewis Center can effectively correct a wide range of concerns, from minor misalignment to severe overcrowding. Plus, they are suitable for patients of all ages and can result in quicker treatment timelines (you can’t take off the brackets and wires, after all!). If you have an uneven bite or are unhappy with your teeth, then don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment with our board-certified orthodontist to find out if traditional braces are right for you.

Invisalign

Our team proudly offers both Invisalign and Invisalign Teen near Lewis Center! Both use a series of custom-made, clear aligners to gently guide teeth into their properly aligned positions. However, the latter includes additional trays and a compliance-tracking dot. Over 12 million patients have used this discreet approach to orthodontics, and we’d be happy to help you do the same! Taking the next step toward your dream smile is as easy as scheduling your initial consultation.

damon self-ligating braces

damon self-ligating braces near Lewis Center may look similar to traditional orthodontics, but they are different in one important way: they use a door-like mechanism instead of a static bracket. This minor change in approach results in major benefits, including quicker treatment timelines, less discomfort, and fewer check-in appointments. The best way to learn more about this smile-enhancing solution is to schedule an appointment with our team. From there, we can review all of the pros and share if you’re a candidate!

Clear Braces

Clear braces are not synonymous with clear aligners. While clear aligners are crafted from plastic, clear braces near Lewis Center use a ceramic material that blends in with your teeth. Plus, the wires are discreet as well! So, if you aren’t a candidate for Invisalign, don’t worry – treatments like this allow you to achieve your smile goals without traditional metal brackets and wires, too.

Phase 1 Orthodontic Treatment

Issues like overcrowding and spaced-out teeth are more than just aesthetic concerns; they also can negatively impact your child’s ability to chew properly, speak clearly, and smile confidently. Thanks to Phase 1 Orthodontics near Lewis Center, you don’t have to wait until all of their adult teeth emerge before intervening. This treatment is designed specifically to help children with a mixture of primary and permanent teeth. Even better, it can help stop poor dental habits (like thumb-sucking) in the process.

Adult Braces

Children and teens might be two of the most popular age groups with braces, but they certainly aren’t the only ones! Whether you’re 25, 45, or 65+, you deserve to have a beautiful smile you’re proud of. Plus, braces can help align your bite, improve your oral health, and enhance your chewing patterns – all things that can positively impact your quality of life. In short, don’t let age stop you; contact our team today to learn more about adult braces near Lewis Center.

How We Help Make Braces Affordable

If you want to pursue orthodontic treatment to straighten your teeth and achieve the beautiful smile you’ve been dreaming of, then we don’t want the cost to be what stands in your way. To get a price estimate and learn about all of your financial options, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with our team. That way, we can answer any questions you have and do our part to make understanding the cost as stress-free as possible. With that said, you can also learn more general price-related information right here as well – just click on the icons below!

We Welcome Dental Insurance

Some dental insurance providers offer coverage for orthodontic treatment. So, it’s worth checking the fine print on your dental plan! Since this benefit is different than preventive and restorative dentistry ones, it’s important to familiarize yourself with how it works. Don’t worry – if you’re having trouble finding that information or you have a question, our knowledgeable and friendly team can help. We can even file the claim for you to make the entire process as seamless and stress-free as possible. In short, if you’re insured and would like to maximize your available benefits, then don’t hesitate to reach out to our team!

We Happily Accept Flexible Financing

Is paying for your entire treatment upfront not realistic? Luckily, there’s another option: CareCredit. Instead of paying for your braces in one lump sum, you can choose a payment plan that spreads out your payments over the course of several months. In fact, you can finance your down payment, your entire treatment, or both! If that wasn’t impressive enough, there is also little to no interest attached for qualified patients. We’ll happily review this financial solution with you more in-depth at your consultation. That way, you can make an informed decision on whether it’s the right one for you!

Frequently Asked Questions About Orthodontics, Answered!

What do you do if you can't afford an orthodontist?

Think you can’t afford an orthodontist? Then think again! Our team never wants the cost to be the only thing standing in your way of pursuing your smile goals. To ensure it isn’t, we welcome dental insurance and happily accept flexible financing. If you’re insured, then we’ll file the claim and do our best to help you understand your out-of-pocket expenses. If you’re interested in flexible financing, then don’t wait to learn more about CareCredit! A trusted third-party financier, they can help you find a payment plan that works best with your monthly budget.

How do I get emergency orthodontic care?

Did you lose a bracket after biting into an apple? Maybe one of your wires is loose and irritating the soft tissue in your mouth. Whatever the case may be, the first step is always to call our office. That way, we can get a better grasp on your situation and what the next best steps are. With morning, lunchtime, and afternoon hours available, we’ll also do our best to treat you the very same day.

Important note: if your orthodontic emergency is accompanied by a potentially life-threatening condition, like a fractured jaw, uncontrollable bleeding, or difficulty swallowing, then head to your nearest ER or call 911. Once you get the medical attention you need, you can call our office so we can restore your braces as well.

What level of education is required to be an orthodontist?

The road to becoming an orthodontist begins with an undergraduate degree, usually with a major that’s heavy in math or science. From there, one must earn their Doctor of Dental Medicine or Doctor of Dental Sciences from one of 67 Accredited dental schools in America. The last step is to earn their certificate in orthodontics; however, some choose to pursue more. In Dr. Mason’s case, he completed a year-long craniofacial research fellowship at the University of Kentucky in Lexington and earned his Master of Science in Dentistry. If that wasn’t impressive enough, he also became board-certified and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics!
